In 2007, Adrenaline assembled one of the country's strongest “elite” mountain bike racing teams. With 15 cross-country racers and 5 ultra-endurance athletes, Adrenaline Race Team competes in various cross-country, 24-hour, ultra-endurance and MTB stage Races across Arizona, the rest of the U.S., and Mexico.

Team Founder, Darrin Austin, and Team Captain, Darrin Permentor, came together with one vision: build a team of close friends into the most organized and successful mountain bike team in the nation.  As Austin put it,  "The team created a huge buzz this year, and not just because we won races. We are a team of close friends and very passionate about riding, training and working together as a team." The bond within the team is widely recognized and has become the foundation for Adrenaline’s success.  

As the current Arizona State Champions,  Adrenaline spent their 2008 race season climbing the podium a total of 62 times, with 4 riders claiming individual state championships.

Adrenaline Teams Up with Titus

Arizona's own world-renowned local bike maker, Titus, has joined forces with Arizona's reigning champions, Team Adrenaline. For those of you who are new to mountain biking, or who may have spent the last decade in a cave, here's a quick recap: Titus is the bomb!

First of all, let's talk suspension. The Horst-link Suspension used on Titus frames is progressive over its entire range of motion, regardless of actual travel length. Leverage ratios are higher at the beginning of the stroke to give the rear wheel more leverage against the shock. This makes the shock more supple over small bumps by assisting the linkage in overcoming initial static friction and breakaway force. It also allows the rider to settle into the designated sag point of the travel. At the end of the shock stroke, the leverage ratio decreases, giving the rear wheel less leverage against the shock. This controls larger impacts and prevents harsh bottoming. All of this equates to more shock absorption and less loss of power on the climbs.

Levels of refinement only available through Titus. Since Titus licensed this sought-after technology over 6 years ago, their engineers have experimented, refined, and enhanced every dynamic of the patented four-bar linkage.
